The Open Door To Health

Health Education Classes Schedule

Angela Horton – (828) 652-1517 theopendoortohealth@yahoo.com

Join Us for a Series of Hikes Every Wednesday - Starting November 18th 10:00 AM - Woodlawn Picnic Area

Beginning hikes will be to get in shape, hike along a forest service road with a short loop on the Mountains to Sea Trail.
The total distance will be about 3 miles.  The pace will be the pace of the slowest hiker.  This will be a good way to get stretched and test your hiking ability.  Bring water and dress in layers.  We will hike rain or shine, hot or cold.  Hiking boots are recommended since it will be getting close to winter and the trail will probably be damp.

Where: Hike starts across from the Woodlawn Park on Hwy. 221.

Take Hwy 221 north from Marion to the Woodlawn Picnic area.  The trailhead is across the highway from the park.  Park at the picnic area and walk across or park at the trail head.  If you walk across, be careful, traffic is sometimes heavy and always fast.

Please let us know if you plan to join us by emailing Linda Mystic at lmystic01@yahoo.com
